Second step of the fashion tour that has characterized our Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Rome was the Pinko store where we found the to welcome us the notes of the dj set by Saturnino (Did you recognize him?) and the stunning new collection that we could see accompanied by the rhythm of music. But that’s not all: we were gifted a cute fluo bracelet with charms that represent the cities where there was the VFNO, which is characterized by a commendable beneficial aspect: part of the proceeds of the sale went to the earthquake victims of Emilia Romagna. I take this opportunity to thank Pinko for the warm welcome and the lovely bracelet, which has become fetish by which reluctant I separate from myself!
Seconda tappa del tour modaiolo che ha caratterizzato la nostra Vogue Fashion’s Night Out romana è stata lo store di Pinko dove abbiamo trovato ad accoglierci le note del dj set di Saturnino (l’avevate riconosciuto?) e la splendida nuova collezione che abbiamo potuto ammirare a ritmo di musica. Ma non è finita qui: siamo state omaggiate di un carinissimo bracciale fluo con charms che rappresentano le città in cui si è svolta la VFNO, bracciale che si caratterizza per un encomiabile risvolto benefico: parte dei ricavati della vendita è andata infatti ai terremotati dell’Emilia Romagna. Ne approfitto per ringraziare Pinko per la calorosa accoglienza e per il grazioso braccialetto, divenuto ormai feticcio dal quale malvolentieri mi separo!
Have you thought that was all? Of course not, because below are the photos of my outfit for the evening (or, rather, of what remains of the outfit) but first I have to tell you about the mishaps that led to the choice of this look. But first things first: the time in Rome was horrible, with almost uninterrupted rain for the afternoon of Thursday, except that I decided to stop at a bar for a coffee and temporary shelter from the rain. Nothing unusual so far you say, except that I put my trusty (and adored) Balenciaga weekender on a chair next to that on which I sat, and I did not realize that the awning of the bar fell a water leak just above the bag. The result? Half Balenciaga FLOODED!! Panic, pissed off at the highest level and change of clothes for the evening wet. What to do then? Way back to the b & b to try to fix as best another outfit (hence the choice of dress and sandals that luckily I had with me). Too bad the traffic was to say the least congested, forcing me to change me in no more than 2 minutes, which is why, in the heat of passing time and the delay accumulated which was at that moment infinite I literally pulled the chain of the beautiful necklace that I should wear. Moral of the story: this outfit is a total fashion disaster ha ha ha: D
Pensavate che fosse tutto qui? Certo che no, perchè qui di seguito ci sono le foto del mio outfit per la serata ( o, per meglio dire, di quello che rimane dell’outfit!) ma prima devo raccontarvi le disavventure che hanno portato alla scelta di questo look. Ma andiamo con ordine: il tempo a Roma lasciava parecchio a desiderare, con pioggia pressochè ininterrotta per tutto il pomeriggio di giovedì, senonchè decido di fermarmi in un bar per prendere un caffè e ripararmi temporaneamente dagli scrosci. Niente di strano fin qui direte voi, se non che ho appoggiato la mia fidata ( e adorata) Balenciaga weekender su una sedia contigua a quella su cui sedevo e non mi sono accorta che dal tendone del bar cadeva una perdita d’acqua proprio sopra la borsa. Risultato? Mezza Balenciaga ALLAGATA !!!!! Panico, nervoso ai massimi livelli e il cambio d’abito per la sera bagnato. Che si fa? Via di nuovo al b&b per cercare di sistemare alla bell’e meglio un altro outfit ( da qui la scelta del vestitino e dei sandali che per fortuna avevo con me!). Peccato che il traffico fosse a dir poco congestionato, costringendomi a cambiarmi in 2 minuti netti, motivo per cui, nella foga del tempo che scorre e del ritardo ormai infinito che avveo accumulato ho letteralmente strappato la catenina della splendida collana che avrei dovuto indossare. Morale della favola: questo outfit è un fashion disaster totale ah ah ah
