E poi c’è lui, il dress code. Quell’insieme di regole del vestire, da taluni osannate che neanche il Sacro Graal, da altri bistrattate senza rispetto. Talvolta visto come nemico, in altri casi invocato come salvatore da tutti i mali, come ancora cui aggrapparsi per non essere fuori luogo. Fatta eccezione per eventi formali quali cerimonie, colloqui o eventi particolari, personalmente ritengo che l’unico dress code da tenere a mente quando si sceglie un outfit sia lo stare bene con se stessi. Niente rende una donna più bella del vedere che è a proprio agio e, viceversa, nulla la penalizza maggiormente del percepire che non si sente bene nei panni che indossa. Ormai mi conoscete e avrete certamente capito che io alle regole sono piuttosto allergica, l’essere catalogata in una categoria piuttosto che in un’altra è cosa da cui rifuggo ben volentieri, amo interpretare ogni giorno un personaggio differente ma tutti hanno in comune il rifiuto per gli stereotipi, io sono io, e basta (nel bene e nel male, eh). Perciò quando mi sono trovata fra le mani questa tee firmata DressCode, brand che dell’auto ironia ha fatto il proprio leitmotiv, ho pensato che fosse perfetta per il mio spirito anticonformista e, complice forse un cielo scuro e perfettamente autunnale, l’ho abbinata a blazer e shorts neri, colore simbolo di un’eleganza senza tempo. Che non si dica che non ho rispetto per DressCode, eh.

And then it comes out, the dress code. That set of rules of dressing, revered by some that even the Holy Grail, mistreated by others without respect. Sometimes seen as the enemy, in other cases invoked as the savior from all evils, as still cling to not be out of place. Except for formal events such as weddings, meetings or special events, I personally think that the only dress code to keep in mind when choosing an outfit is feeling good about themselves. Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than seeing who is at ease and, conversely, nothing penalizes her the most than perceiving that she does not feel good in the clothes she wears. Now you know me a bit so you’ll surely have understood that I’m quite allergic to rules, being categorized into one category rather than another is something from which I shrink willingly, I love to play every day a different character but all have in common the rejection for stereotypes, I am me, and that’s it (for better or for worse, huh). So when I found in my hands this tee signed DressCode, brand that chose self irony as its slogan, I thought it was perfect for my maverick spirit and, perhaps because a perfectly dark sky and autumn, I combined it with black blazer and shorts, color symbol of timeless elegance. I’d never want someone says I have no respect for DressCode, huh.
